The CMS section allows you to organize and edit your catalog: categories, products, metadata and specific pages. It is also in this section that you can create director and actor files.
3rd step: Creation of categories (themes)
The architecture of your platform can contain as many parent categories and sub-categories as you wish. Each subcategory can also contain subcategories.
A product can be available in different categories, without being duplicated in your back office. For example: the animated film "Monsters & Company" can both be associated with the "Kids" category and the "Animated film" category.
During your first login and access to your administration panel, categories will be present. These categories are added by default when deploying your administration panel, they can be modified or deleted if necessary.
Create and manage categories:
> CMS Content / Categories:
- Click on the "Add" button
- Define for each category:
- Information tab:
- Parent category*: select "Home" if your category is a parent category, otherwise select the parent category in which to associate this category to define it as a sub-category;
- Name*: this is the name of the category, as it will appear on the front;
- Short and/or long description (WYSIWYG) - these elements are not up to date, not included on the web front;
- SEO tab
- Cover tab: image that will appear at the top of your movies list, once a user clicks on a category name from the home page;
- Images tab: category images, can only be used via API integration;
- Geolocation tab: this section allows you to restrict the category to a certain geographical area (restriction of IP addresses);
- Metadata tab
- Information tab:
Items followed by an * are required to be able to validate the creation of a category.
