The affiliation process allows you to promote your web platform through a partner. Your platform will be recommended by the partner sites and users will be redirected to it. Here are the steps to follow to set up the affiliate program.
> Generate Affiliate ID
- The first step is to generate affiliate IDs. You can use the software of your choice (for example: Google Tag Manager). The affiliate ID is a code used in the affiliate link that allows you to know exactly which partner the click came from, it is a tracking ID.
- You must have a different link for each partner who will recommend you.
Example :
The parameter to be used and added in the URL can be: / ?affiliate_id= test-kinow
The variable test-kinow should be changed and generated for each partner.
Partner 1 : /?affiliate_id=1
Partner 2 : /?affiliate_id=2
Partner 3 : /?affiliate_id=3
These individual and specific links then appear on each partner site that lists you. This allows you to identify who is bringing traffic to your platform.
> Analyze the results in the back office and in the order export
Once the affiliate ID is added in the URL, you can track the traffic generated on your platform from the orders monitoring and CSV export of the orders.
- From the orders monitoring : In you Dashboard, click on "Users > + User accounts". Select an user account and an "order". An "Affiliate ID" appears in the order status. The Affiliate ID is also indicated on the order invoice.
From the CSV orders export : Click on the "Users" tab, then on "+Orders monitoring". At the top of the page click on "Export". The "+ Data export" tab will open and your CSV file " Orders export list " will be created. Feel free to reset the page to complete the upload. Finally, you can download the CSV file by clicking on the arrow next to the export date.

> Process for saving the affiliate ID in cookies and explanations
As soon as the affiliate ID is present in the URL, it is saved in the cookies on the first visit on the website. For example, when ordering, if the ID is not visible in the URL it does not matter as it will be saved in the cookies.
